Avoiding Those Darn Errors

Sometimes scripts need access to writing files and the network. However, as default after effects does not allow this. To stop any errors from popping up while trying to use any of Expression Library's features - turn on "allow scripts to write files and access the network"

AE CC2019+

  • Mac OS: Open After Effects > Preferences > Scripts

  • Windows: Edit > Preferences > Scripts

AE CC2018-

  • Mac OS: Open After Effects > Preferences > General

  • Windows: Edit > Preferences > General
