The rig can be edited by dragging the bones about. However, this involves a lot of expressions and will impact After Effects performance. This button will remove the expressions from your rig and set everything in stone making the rig's performance a lot faster.
To see the effect of this working, the black circle on the bones will be removed.
shift + left-click: Revert Rig
If you want to go back and edit your rig you can click this button and your rig will be editable again.
